Are you looking for your next inspirational career leap, but also a sense of ‘home’ & team you can trust?

Voima Ventures | Nordic Deep Tech VC

Voima Ventures is a leading Nordic venture capital firm focused on science-driven and deep tech companies with the potential to transform industries. We invest early, work closely with founders, and take a long-term approach to building companies that require patient capital, strong operational foundations, and ambitious execution.

As an established multi-fund platform, we place high importance on robust financial processes, advanced investor reporting, AI automation and consistent governance. To support this, we are now looking for a Finance & Admin Manager to join our team in a long-term, core enabling and always developing role.

About the role

This is a back-office role with broad responsibilities and high standards. At the same time, active management of operational and strategic stakeholders (LPs, co-investors, and portfolio CEOs) is expected.

As our Finance & Admin Manager, you will be responsible for the financial operations, reporting, and governance that underpin Voima Ventures’ day-to-day work and long-term credibility with investors. Your work ensures that our funds operate smoothly, our investors receive clear and reliable reporting, and our internal teams are supported by strong financial foundations.

We place particular emphasis on developing high-quality reporting and presentations with the use of AI. Accuracy with storytelling is expected; clarity, structure, and re-usability are what distinguish excellent performance in this role.

This is a permanent position designed for someone who wants to build continuity, institutional knowledge, and long-term excellence within a leading Nordic VC firm.

Key responsibilities

Finance & operations (30%)

  • Ownership of fund and management company (including subsidiary & feeder structures) financial operations, including budgeting, cash-flow optimization, and forecasting
  • Oversight and quality control of outsourced bookkeeping and payroll partners in Finland and Sweden
  • Maintenance of internal financial controls, approval workflows, and documentation

Reporting, audits & compliance (30%)

  • Responsibility for statutory reporting and regulatory compliance at fund and management company level in Finland and Sweden
  • End-to-end coordination of annual financial statements and audit processes
  • Acting as the primary contact for auditors and external financial service providers

Investor reporting & analytics (30%)

  • Execution of capital calls and distributions
  • Ownership of quarterly investor reporting, including financial performance and portfolio reporting
  • Development and continuous improvement of reporting processes, templates, and tools
  • Preparation of board, investment committee, and investor materials – and governance decisions.

A key part of your work is producing clear, well-structured reports and presentations that make complex financial information interesting and insightful, understandable, and decision-ready for investors and internal stakeholders.

Portfolio support & value creation

While this is a back office role, your work directly supports portfolio value creation. Through strong internal investment process support, financial processes and high-quality reporting, you enable the investment team to focus on working with founders and scaling companies. On a case-by-case basis, you may also support portfolio companies with financial modeling, fundraising preparation, or exit-related work.

Who this role is for

You are likely to thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy self-driven work in finance, operations, reporting work and take pride in doing it exceptionally well
  • Have an eye for details and an interest in developing effective ways of working, also applying new technologies like AI
  • Are particularly strong in financial reporting, analysis, and presentation creation
  • Have built a strong analytical and professional foundation in e.g. consulting, investment banking, or a comparable high-performance setting
  • Value structure, accuracy, and reliability, while understanding the importance of clarity and good communication
  • Are comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders
  • Are looking for a long-term role where you can build systems, improve processes, and grow with the firm over time

We expect you to have approximately 7+ years of operational (with some managerial) experience in business control, finance, corporate finance, accounting and/or reporting roles. Your track record mirrors your ability to adapt and grow into new roles, and to grasp strategic topics while executing with excellence. You are fluent in Finnish, English and preferably also in Swedish.
