Today, Voima Ventures, announced several key appointments. These include a new female Partner in Sweden and additional team and board members. These initiatives demonstrate Voima Ventures’ commitment to better health, cleaner industry practices, diversity, and environmental sustainability, aligning with their Fund III investment thesis.
Jenny Engerfelt, the new Partner, joined Voima Ventures as an Investment Director two years ago from Almi Invest, bringing over a decade of early-stage VC experience. Along with Venture Advisor Malin Carlstrom, she has built a strong foundation for Voima Ventures’ Nordic operations, extending across the technology ecosystem, local universities, and investors. Voima Ventures’ latest investment was into a Swedish biopharma company ArgusEye, also led by Jenny Engerfelt.
She expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “It’s an honour to step into the role of Partner at Voima Ventures. Additionally, Anders Nordström has been appointed to the Swedish Board of Directors. Anders has held several executive positions in global life science companies and invested in early-stage ventures. His expertise and investment track record will be invaluable as Voima Ventures aims to support the Swedish life science ecosystem and expand its network.
Voima Ventures is actively recruiting a Life Sciences Investment Professional to capitalise on growing opportunities. This role will navigate the expansive network of research institutes and universities, analyse emerging companies, and implement their life sciences investment strategy.
The firm also announced the promotion of Anna Pölönen to Analyst, following her exceptional year as a Junior Analyst. This advancement highlights Voima Ventures’ commitment to nurturing internal talent and fostering professional growth.
These steps reinforce the firm’s plan to strengthen its impact in Sweden and beyond, driving forward its mission to invest in ventures that contribute positively to society and the environment.
